Chris Stotz

Christopher Stotz is currently the Senior Communications and Community Outreach Specialist for the Broward County Tax Collector, Tom Kennedy, in the County’s Records, Taxes and Treasury Division (RTT). Chris, a member of the Division’s management team, is responsible for internal, external, and crisis communications, as well as working with local government partners and local business groups to showcase the many services for citizens offered by RTT and Broward County. Chris has served in this role since 2013 and has enjoyed a professional career in public service for more than a decade. Chris has worked in the communications field for nearly 25 years in the public and private sectors, and is a member of Florida statewide and national professional communications and public service professional organizations.

Originally from Hershey, PA, Chris holds a Bachelor of Humanities in Communications from Penn State University, holds several professional certifications including Advanced Public Information Officer (APIO) from the United States Department of Homeland Security/FEMA, and Marketing Management from Florida Atlantic University. In 2007 Chris was named “Outstanding Public Information Officer” by the Florida Court Public Information Officers (FCPIO) in Tallahassee for his work during a high-profile court case that made international headlines while serving as Public Information Officer for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County.
